After a hard fight, I’ve been outmaneuvered by precise shots, then hurt with hard punches smashing me to both the head and body. I put up a game fight, but it’s come down to the classic beating the shit out of someone in the corner as she covers up. But, with one eye punched closed, exhausted and battered, it’s only a matter of time until the fight is over—either with a knockout or the referee stopping it. And—this is to prove who’s tougher; the ref will be hesitant to stop the fight.
I can take a lot—most folk wouldn’t still be standing—but this flurry of punches will finish the fight. We’re both bloody—mostly with my blood—and the savage hook to the jaw is spraying more across the ring.
This is mainly an exercise in improving my artistic skills, but I thought people might enjoy it. I tried for effects both subtle and blatant, so whatever you see in the way of better techniques, please call out—let me know what you see different, for better or worse.
Incidentally, what should the brunette’s next punch be?
This pic captures a moment in the bout a turning point. And the energy of the action transcends the two dimensions its captured in. You can feel the breathing and the exertions of each combatant... The view of the action is "right in there" displaying the power, the pain!! Excellent Selene! I believe you have a fantastic grasp of how to portray the heat of battle...I would say thru your own tasting and swapping of leather. Having been on booth ends of this equation gives you fantastic insight about bringing this image to the page. Well done Selene! Can't wait till the next picture springs forth
Perhaps a hard right up into the belly to get the redhead to drop her guard - a couple of those should open up access to the head, or even the boobs if she wants to extend the punishment a while longer.
A right uppercut to the solarplexus, followed by a left hook to the jaw. The scene itself is very powerful; one can almost feel the pain you're experiencing as your strength and endurance is being sapped from the pounding by your opponent. You are battered, bruised, bloody and exhausted. Your legs are rubbery, your right eye is closed, and your guard is collapsing; hence the right/left combo mentioned earlier. Good night Red! The image of two strong, powerful women boxers going full out to a decisive ending is well illustrated here. The details of the ring and the combatants and even the blood spatter on both, show the intensity of the battle. Great work!
I agree with Drew; you've done a great job of texturing the gloves. I tried a few times to add seams and i didn't like the results at all. Overall, you've made great strides in your work; the blood effects, the battle damage, the set dressing are all well done. Keep up the good work!
well, they`re dressed as they should be . . . the ref should be able to see the bruising etc. He/she may say "STOP!" and push the predator away! but I agree that may not happen
